Somewhere to sleep tonight
If you don't have a safe place to stay tonight, here's what to do, in order.
- If you are in danger, call 911. If you're thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988. Both are free, any hour.
- Before 8 p.m., come to The Porch or call us. Call or text (704) 555-0142. A navigator can place you in one of our emergency beds tonight. If you can't get here, we can usually send a ride.
- After 8 p.m., call our after-hours line. The same number forwards to an on-call staff member overnight for young adults 18 to 24 who need a bed.
- Under 18? Call or text us anyway. We'll connect you with a youth shelter and, only if you want us to, your caseworker.
What to bring if you can
Your phone and charger, any ID you have, medications, and anything you can't replace. If you don't have these, come anyway.
What happens next
Emergency beds are a bridge, not a destination. In the morning, a navigator will sit down with you to talk about Landing Homes, our longer-term apartments, and anything else you need.
